What is the Dewar Public School Foundation?
The Foundation is a tax deductible, non-profit public entity. It is chartered by the State of Oklahoma and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a strictly educational and charitable foundation to promote academic excellence.
Is the Foundation part of the school system or alumni organization?
The Foundation functions independently of any other organization or association. It does work closely with the school system because both share the same goals.
What are the goals of the Foundation?
The Foundation intends to develop an endowment in order to fund initiatives such as curriculum enhancements, student awards and incentives, and teacher grants for student enrichment programs.
Who supervises the activities of the Foundation?
Dewar Public School Foundation is governed by a board of directors representing a cross section of Dewar area citizens and Dewar alumni.
